August 25 & 26, 2006 - American Funny Car Series had another great outing at Cordova World Series.
Friday night qualifying had some good runs. The track was excellent.

Saturday was the gig show with Fred Cass. It rained all morning but by 2:30pm the show was on. The track was great! Second round of qualifying started at 7:00pm. We had several 5 second runs!

The Fast 4 came back for a 2nd round and were paired up by ET. The low qualifier broke so he was replaced by Kevin Newburgh because of his 6:31 on Friday night.

Both drivers were set on kill. Both went into wheel shake - Carlson recovered first and took the win. Wilkerson (Tim Wilkerson's son) did a great job at his first World Series.
